My name is Samantha (please call me Sam!) and I am a baker.
I've lived and worked all over the country and finally ended up back home
in the mountains of Pennsylvania where I belong. I met my husband Mark Ardry at a farmers' market while working for a local bakery and well...the rest is history!
I attended culinary school in New York City and worked in a variety of kitchens, from small batch bakeries to large scale production situations. Now, I bake from the farm kitchen and sell goods alongside Mark and our family at markets.
This website, which was originally titled, "The Bacrey," began as a creative outlet for me where I shared stories and recipes. It soon expanded as an add-on and extension of the farm business. A little over two years later, I streamlined all of our social media presence to simply, "Ardry Farms." The farm connects everything, afterall.
I sell primarily baked goods at market during the cooler months and homemade popsicles during the warmer months. Much of what I make utilizes food sourced directly from our farm, like eggs, and from other local businesses in Centre County like Meyer Dairy, Way Fruit Farm & Snavely's Mill. I enjoy baking my twist on country classics: everything from pies, to breads and beyond.
